For Parkland Pictures, GVFilm Ltd have completed a sales reel for the Cannes Film Festival. We worked together with Parkland to craft a highlight reel and trailer showing the narrative qualities of the film even while it is still in post production.
“Old” star Rufus Sewell and “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’s” Shirley Henderson are set to lead dark comedy “The Trouble With Jessica.”
Sewell will also be reunited with his “A Knight’s Tale” co-star Alan Tudyk in the film. Olivia Williams (“The Father”) and Indira Varma (“Obi Wan Kenobi”) round out the cast.
Parkland Pictures are repping “The Trouble With Jessica,” which is directed by Matt Winn (“Bad Mother”), for worldwide sales. Winn co-wrote the film with James Handel (“The Hoarder”).
Filmed on location in London, “The Trouble With Jessica” tells the story of two couples who find themselves needing to relocate a dead body in order to prevent the imminent sale of their house from collapsing.
Andrew Brown, head of sales at Parkland Pictures, said: “‘The Trouble with Jessica’ is a darkly comic moral tale. It has been a real pleasure to be working with such a talented producer (Sarah Sulick) and director (Matt Winn) and Parkland is thrilled to bring a taste of what’s to come with exclusive footage in Cannes.”
This year GVFilm Ltd have worked closely with our friends at Kaleidoscope Film Distribution to create sales and distribution trailers for their films at Cannes Film Festival 2022. Many of the films were still in production and trailers and sizzle reels were crafted, graded and mixed from unfinished materials to fulfil a sales brief. For more information and trailers for titles go to Kaleidoscope Film Distribution.
At GVFilm Ltd we create original official trailers, but also sales and sizzle reels, promos, and adaptions, re-cutting for different markets and platforms so a film’s story can be seen at its best by as wider audience as possible.

Fadia’s Tree’ was chosen for the Amnesty International Award for Best Feature Film at the Donostia – San Sebastián Human Rights Film Festival. Directed by visual artist Sarah Beddington, Fadia’s Tree is a documentary about a Palestinian woman in a refugee camp in Lebanon who yearns for the ancestral homeland she’s denied in stark contrast to the millions of birds that migrate freely in the skies. She sets a challenge to the director to find an ancient tree that stands as witness to her family’s existence. With only inherited memories, a sightless man and a two-headed dragon as guides, this is no easy quest. This story of a 15-year friendship that stays connected across a divided land and a fragmented people, adopts the aerial perspective of migratory birds to reflect on freedom of movement, exile and the hope of return.
GVFilm worked closely with the director and Over The Fence Films to craft the trailer for festivals and beyond to spread Fadia’s story to the wider world.
We have been working on a number of ‘in production’ titles, providing trailer, teaser and sales assets for Kaleidoscope Film Distribution across a number of film festivals in 2021 / 2022. We are delighted that Kingslayer has the opportunity to be seen by a wide audience.
We recently produced a host of sales trailers for films still in production or post production for our friends at Kaleidoscope Film Distribution. These often form the basis of a traditional trailer but are also crafted for sales use, and are edited from unfinished footage. In some cases they are more akin to sizzle reels or promos – whatever our client requires to sell their movie.
Kaleidoscope Film Distribution (KFD) is an established International Sales company, specialising in commercial feature films and branded documentaries.

We were commissioned by Susan Simnett, producer at Over The Fence Films to create the trailer for visual artist Sarah Beddington’s feature documentary.
‘While millions of birds migrate freely in the skies, a Palestinian refugee in Lebanon, yearns for the ancestral homeland she’s denied. She sets a challenge to find an ancient tree that stands as witness to her family’s existence – guided only by inherited memories, a blind man and a two-headed dragon. This story of a 15-year friendship that stays connected across a divided land and a fragmented people, adopts a bird’s eye perspective to reflect on freedom of movement, exile, and the hope of return.’
Fadia’s Tree is screening November 27 at the Curzon Soho.
GVFilm was recently commissioned by Over The Fence Films to create a trailer for the poignant documentary ‘Fadia’s Tree’. Fadia, a Palestinian refugee in Lebanon, is stranded by history on the wrong side of the border. When a chance meeting introduces her to the director, Sarah, she makes a grand and personal request: to find the ancient mulberry tree next to her grandfather’s house in Sa’sa, northern Palestine. A mere 2 hour drive from Beirut where she lives, Fadia is barred from crossing that border. With only received memories, a blind man and a two-headed dragon as her guides, Sarah embarks on the quest to find the tree. Along the way, as she observes the homing instincts of millions of migrating birds, nature inadvertently reveals instinctive elements of the Palestinian yearn to return home. Through a birds’ eye perspective, we reflect on freedom of movement, exile and return and a sense of hope projected by the land itself. Fadia’s Tree is a remarkably warm debut feature film by artist, Sarah Beddington, and a heartfelt rumination on the nature of belonging. Fadia’s Tree is showing Saturday November 27 at the Curzon Soho, Shaftesbury Avenue as part of the London Palestine Film Festival.
At GVFilm we have a long history of creating trailers and sizzle reels for film markets such as Cannes and AFM. In many cases films may still be in production, and we are tasked with creating effective content with limited footage, time and budget. Often these trailers will go on to become the Official trailer when we complete with scheduled deliverables and versions for Theatrical / TV / OTT Platforms. For Spitfire Over Berlin we worked closely with Kaleidoscope Film Distribution and Tin Hat Productions to edit this exciting introduction to the soon to be released action adventure.
