GVFilm worked closely with Arrow Films and critically acclaimed director Stéphane Brizé (The Measure of a Man, Mademoiselle Chambon), to create this original Theatrical trailer for the UK release of ‘A Woman’s Life’ (Une Vie).
Scripted, edited and mixed in-house with 5.1 audio deliverables by our friends at Tamborine Audio.
From the multi-awarding winning Director Jia Zhangke (A Touch of Sin, Still Life, The World) MOUNTAINS MAY DEPART, follows the life of Shen Tao (Tao Zhao), and those close to her, across three different time periods: 1999, 2014, and 2025. We worked closely with Arrow Films to create a new UK trailer edit, respecting the Director’s use of aspect ratios and creating new localised titles and graphics as well as sourcing music and producing a new Theatrical audio mix.
Original Theatrical Trailer, scripted and edited with new graphics and mix in house at GVFilm. Audio mastering by Tamborine Productions.
Writer-director Ivan I. Tverdovsky’s prize-winning sophomore feature
(Special Prize of the Jury at Karlovy Vary Film Festival, Best Picture at Fantastic Fest) deftly mixes the deadpan humour of Aki Kaurismäki with a poignant examination of social issues including loneliness and aging.
Described as Kafka meets Cronenberg (Hollywood Reporter),
Tverdovsky’s film is a beautifully photographed portrait of Eastern Europe that recalls the recent New Romanian Cinema and features a brave and brilliant central performance from Natalya Pavlenkova.
Exploding onto the screen in a kinetic flurry of hyper-stylised action, The Villainess is a stunning vengeance film that draws its inspiration from western classics including Nikita and Kill Bill.
Deliriously indulging in the excesses of South Korean action, recalling Park Chan-wook’s Oldboy, The Villainess is a visionary new take on the neo-noir genre and an incredible thrill ride not to be missed.
Earlier this year we were commissioned by Kaleidoscope Film Distribution to create a trailer for the animated adventure ‘Monster Island’ for sales use in film markets around the world.
We later created full International deliverables and a Theatrical UK version. GVFilm scripted, edited, mixed and created motion graphics in-house with audio deliverables and master mix by our friends at Tamborine Audio.

IN UK CINEMAS 21st JULY
A UK trailer re-version for our friends at Arrow Films
In Cinemas from July 21st 2017
From first time feature director Thomas Kruithof, Scribe stars François Cluzet (Untouchable, Tell No One, Little White Lies) as the middle aged and financially struggling man who is looking for work two years after suffering a burn-out.
He gets hired by a mysterious employer to transcribe phone tapped conversations, which propels him into the heart of a large-scale political plot and gets him trapped in the French secret services underworld.
A paranoid thriller in the spirit of ’70s pics such as Marathon Man and The Conversation, Scribe was originally inspired by the 1983-1984 Lebanon hostage crisis, in which three French people were kidnapped and their release was allegedly withheld by the French government so that it would benefit presidential candidate Jacques Chirac, who was then prime minister.
Fresh from winning ‘Best Film’ at the Dublin International Film Awards, the Oscar nominated actress Sonia Braga stars in this riveting drama. GVFilm worked hard to preserve the multi-layred, textural quality of the film, in an original trailer for UK audiences commissioned by Arrow Films.
