GVFilm created pre and post versions as well as International internet only versions for various markets.

Borgen Series 3

Nordic Noir | Arrow Films
The internationally acclaimed Danish political drama from the producers of The Killing, and hit BBC Series is coming to DVD Dec 26th.
GVFilm created two release trailers, one for Series 3 and one for the Trilogy box set. Both trailers featured music scored by renown TV and FIlm composers Soundology.

Borgen has caused quite a stir with its realistic portrayal of the lives of politicians, and the Danish drama has many parallels with British political life, making it essential viewing for Nordic Noir fans.

Jo

We love Law & Order at GVFilm and were excited to create a trailer and TV spot for the new crime procedural ‘Jo’ conceived by Law & Order mastermind René Balcer.
Jo takes the audience behind the scenes of Paris’ most iconic locations including; the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Catacombs and Place Vendôme as we follow Jean Reno as Jo St-Clair in his relentless pursuit of justice. Brilliant and brutal, St-Clair matches wits with pathological killers to solve a series of shocking murders.

Maison Close

Arrow Films have just released the trailer for Season 2 of the French Drama

We have had quite a French themed month at GVFilm. We have created trailers for ‘The Returned’, ‘Jo’ and now Maison Close.  The hit, very naughty drama is in it’s second season and you can order the box set and see the trailer on Amazon here.

The NSFW red band version can be seen on the link below.

Muse Of Fire

On Sunday July 7th at BAFTA in London, Directors Daniel Poole and Giles Terera presented a cast and crew screening of ‘Muse Of Fire’. An entertaining and star studded documentary/road movie that explores the cult of ‘Shakespeare’ with contributions from Sir Ian McKellen, Ewan McGregor, Dame Judi Dench and more.

GVFilm have worked on the film from it’s inception, providing trailers, sizzles, teasers and finally taking on the edit of the film last year.

A shorter version of the documentary is due to be broadcast on BBC4 in October and the film is at festivals now.
We wish Dan and Giles all the best and hope to see ‘Muse Of Fire’ in cinemas soon.

The Killing 3

We love a bit of Nordic Noir at GVFilm, so were chuffed to bits to edit the latest moody and atmospheric trailer for the hit TV series ‘The Killing’ which completes Sarah Lund’s  journey into murder, intrigue and endless wooly jumpers. The trailer has been very well received with everyone wanting to ‘say goodbye’ to one of the best shows on TV.

Red State

GVFilm have completed a TVC campaign for the EOne release of ‘Red State’ on DVD and Blu-ray.

Directed by Kevin Smith, Red State is set in Middle America and sees a group of teens enticed by a promise of an exciting sexual encounter only to discover they have been tricked by fundamentalists with a more sinister agenda.

Battle Of The Pacific

Arrow Films recently turned to GVFILM to create a UK re-version of a trailer for ‘Oba: The Last Samurai’, now re-named ‘Battle of the Pacific’. GVFilm re-edited in HD, added new graphics and titles and commissioned an all new music track from ace composers at Radial TV.

We also created idents and TV Spots for sponsorship on the National Geographic Channel.

A film based on real events at the end of WW2. The story focuses on Sakae Oba, a tenacious Japanese Captain nicknamed the Fox of Saipan and his loyalist soldiers’ continued use of guerrilla tactics against the might of the US army despite the Emperor having already surrendered. A beautiful study of Japanese psyche in the face of unthinkable defeat.
