As part of an ongoing series of video essays film audio pioneers Dolby, we filmed several interviews with top (and oscar winning)
sound mixers about the importance of sound in film, and their experiences of Dolby’s groundbreaking audio technology Dolby Atmos.

Dolby Atmos: The importance of Sound

In February 2015, Dolby presented three evenings of screenings and Q&As about the importance of sound in cinema. Guests included Oscar Winning Film Composer and Musician Anne Dudley, Oscar Winning Sound Re-Recording Mixer Richard Pryke and Oscar Winning Production Sound Mixer John Midgley. The evenings were moderated by Lucy Hedges, Technology Journalist and Presenter.
